MMAKS Advocates (ALN Uganda) is delighted to announce the appointment of Shellomith Irungu as a Director in their Kampala office. Shellomith will lead the firm’s Banking and Finance practice and will focus primarily on banking, syndicated and project finance and real estate law.
Prior to joining MMAKS, Shellomith practiced at leading Kenyan law firm Anjarwalla & Khanna (ALN Kenya). Shellomith’s appointment is a clear example of the ALN firms’ close integration and collaboration across borders.
Shellomith was also previously legal counsel for Hashi Energy, then the fifth largest OMC in Kenya, as well as legal consultant for the Lake Turkana Wind Power Project and Elgon Road Developments project.

Shellomith graduated with a Master of Laws degree in International Banking and Finance Law from University College London and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. She is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is qualified to be a Certified Public Accountant.
