Sadia Ismael Soodeen is a lawyer at BLC Robert and is mainly involved in funds, regulatory, financial services, corporate and commercial law matters. She has been involved in the drafting and reviewing of legal documentation, issuing legal advice on closings and structuring of fund vehicles and non-fund private equity structures as well as advising on corporate matters. She regularly assists on regulatory matters such as seeking approvals from Mauritius regulators for financial services businesses and for domestic entities. Sadia has also assisted in the setting up of Global Business Companies, drafting of legal documentation, reviewing of foreign law documents, issuing legal opinion and carrying out legal due diligence on companies incorporated in Mauritius.
Sadia read Law at the University of Hertfordshire and holds an LLM in International Corporate Finance from the University of Reading. She completed the Bar Professional Training Course from Manchester Metropolitan University. She is also an ADR-ODR International accredited Civil-Commercial Mediator.
