ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna (A&K) is delighted to announce new appointments into its leadership team, including four promotions and a new hire effective 1 January 2020. We are also pleased to announce that Ian Gaitta, a Partner based in our Dubai firm, Anjarwalla Collins & Haidermota (AC&H) will be relocating to Kenya effective 1 December 2019.
These appointments now expand A&K’s Partnership to 20 Partners in Kenya and 25 Partners across the A&K firms, including A&K Tanzania and AC&H in Dubai.

Adnan has been promoted to the position of Partner. He specialises in advising local and international clients on issues relating to land law and on complex real estate and construction transactions in Kenya.
Adnan is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Adnan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law, a Bachelor of Laws. LL.B from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting, Oxford Brookes University. Adnan joined the firm in 2012.
Faith has been promoted to the position of Partner. She is an experienced trial and appellate litigator and has handled a blend of complex matters before the High Court, the Court of Appeal, local tribunals.
Faith is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws LL.B from the University of Nairobi. She joined A&K in 2012.
Kenneth has been promoted to the position of Partner. He routinely advises clients on all tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and corporate restructurings and on business and transaction structuring generally. He also assists clients in complex tax audits and disputes with the Kenya Revenue Authority. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Public Secretary.
Kenneth holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws. (LL.B) from Moi University. He joined A&K as an Associate in the Corporate Department in 2014 and later on transitioned to the tax department. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the tax practice at PwC in Kenya and the United Kingdom.
Luisa has been promoted to the position of Director. She joined A&K in 2015 as head of business development and marketing for A&K and ALN before joining the Forensics & Investigations and Litigation departments as Of Counsel in 2019. Prior to joining A&K, Luisa spent almost a decade as a corporate litigator at White & Case in New York, where she represented clients in multi-jurisdictional civil and criminal antitrust matters, complex business disputes and international arbitration proceedings.
Luisa is admitted to the New York State Bar as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She earned BCL and LLB law degrees, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree, from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Shellomith joins the firm’s Banking and Finance practice, having most recently worked at ALN Uganda | MMAKS Advocates where she was Director. Shellomith holds a Master of Laws degree in International Banking and Finance Law from University College London and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi.
Shellomith is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is qualified to be a Certified Public Accountant. Shellomith previously worked at A&K, having joined the firm in 2007 and later moved into private consultancy practice.
Ian returns to the firm’s Nairobi office after practicing law at Anjarwalla Collins & Haidermota, A&K’s affiliate law firm in the UAE, for the last nine years. He has over 12 years’ transactional experience in the UAE and various sub-Saharan Africa countries.
Ian’s areas of practice include mergers & acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, general corporate/commercial contracts and banking and finance. Ian also regularly advises on hospitality transactions.
