ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna (A&K) has been named the “Law Firm of the Year” in Kenya at the inaugural IFLR Sub-Saharan Africa Awards 2020, which were announced virtually on 10 September, in recognition of its legal innovation in cross-border transactions between May 2019 and May 2020. At the same awards, A&K also won the “Capital Markets Deal of the Year” award for its outstanding work in the Airtel Africa initial public offering deal.
In addition to its wins, the firm was a finalist in three other categories for its innovative work with Acorn’s bond programme, issuance and listing deal, capital markets category; the ICEA Lion Asset Management and Stanlib Fahari i-REIT deal, domestic category; and the AfricInvest Capital Partners / I&M Bank deal, M&A deal of the year category.
