Kenya | A&K Recognised by Chambers HNW 2019 for Depth of Experience

Chambers & Partners has ranked A&K as the only Kenyan firm in its 2019 Chambers High Net Worth rankings, recognising the firm’s outstanding work and “depth of experience in private client matters”. A&K Partners Mona K.Doshi and Daniel Ngumy are also ranked as notable practitioners together with dual-qualified Senior Partner Atiq S. Anjarwalla who is based in Dubai at AC&H, A&K’s regional office in the UAE, who is ranked as an expert based abroad in Kenya.

A&K’s Private Client practice has for several decades, at both local and international levels, offered a range of legal advisory services, including tax; estate and trust administration; estate, business and philanthropic planning; investment structuring and dispute resolution to individual clients, family groups, fiduciaries, charitable organisations, educational institutions, and banks.

Mona Doshi, who leads the Private Client’s practice, has been described by Chambers as one who “is regularly sought after by high net worth individuals and families for succession planning, probate matters and trusts.” Her team works closely with our tax team, headed by Daniel Ngumy who has also been ranked and described as “a recognised specialist in tax matters, regularly handling tax planning, structuring and optimisation for high net worth individuals. He is also noted for his cross-border work.”

A&K is one of the few local law firms with a sophisticated Africa-wide Private Clients practice, handling deals in several countries across Africa, both in its own capacity and in collaboration with ALN firms across the continent. Chambers had this to say about AC&H Managing Atiq Anjarwalla who is based in Dubai: Atiq Anjarwalla is a highly respected lawyer with a depth of experience in cross-border private client matters.

The Chambers HNW 2019 ranking is a reaffirmation of our commitment to continue offering our clients excellent services to meet their planning needs, wherever their assets or family members may be.
