MTA has advised on a number of labour issues that emerge in the day-to-day activities of its corporate clients – including assistance in systemic interventions that affect the relations between management and labour

Some of MTA’s works in this respect include:

  • Drafting of employment contracts
  • Review of human resources manuals to ensure compliance with mandatory provisions of the labour law regime
  • Advice on day-to-day issues on employment relationships including transfer, disciplinary, and related issues
  • Advise and participation in negotiation of collective agreements
  • Assisting in the negotiations relating to reduction of manpower at completion or a slowdown of projects
  • Representation of clients in their labour disputes at courts of law and quasi-judicial entities empowered to intervene in labour disputes by the relevant legislation
  • Preparation of a summary of relevant points from the labour laws of Ethiopia
