Adept Chambers was founded jointly by Dr. Frederick S. Ringo and Anjarwalla & Khanna Advocates in 2003.  The firm provides specialist advice in banking, commercial property, tax and capital markets law.

The Managing Partner, Dr Frederick Ringo has over 18 years experience. He is a former senior lecturer in Commercial laws, Banking and Insurance, Corporate and Tax laws at the University of Dar-es-Salaam.  He is also a former Director of Studies of the Tanzania Institute of Bankers.  In light of his expertise in capital markets law he was also appointed as a member of the Dar-es-Salaam Stock Exchange Council by the Capital Markets Securities Authority.

Dr Ringo was the Principal Legal Counsel of the Parastatal Sector Reform Commission (PSRC) where he was primarily responsible for advising the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania on the privatisation of several state corporations and enterprises.  He was also responsible for liaison with external counsel assigned cases by PSRC.  Accordingly, Dr. Ringo has substantial experience in the fields of privatisation and mergers and acquisition.

Mustafa Tharoo, a partner with Anjarwalla & Khanna Advocates, practiced in Kenya for 7 years, before moving to Dar-es-Salaam as a result of the creation of Ringo & Associates in the capacity of a legal consultant.

Although only recently formed, the firm has grown considerably, largely as a result of its specialist focus and its ability to deliver timely and efficient legal services.  Its very impressive client base reflects the quality of the firm.
